Patina Miller

Patina Patina PatinaMiller took on the title role in Stephen Schwartz's 1972 Broadway production of "Pippin". The Tony Award winning director Diane Paulus directed "Pippin" in addition to included Matthew James Thomas and Andrea Martin. Terrence Mann and Matthew James Thomas were the Other stars. Patina was able to put a modern spin on the role created by award-winning actor and actress Ben Vereen. She was able to master the Fosse movements that the show depends so heavily upon. Patina has been nominated for a Tony Award, an Outer Critics Circle Award as well as a Broadway.com Audience Choice Award. The actress also received an Drama League Award as Best Actress in leading Role as well as an Outer Critics Circle Award as Outstanding Actress for a musical. Her prior role was as a Leading Actor on stage at American Repertory Theater in "Pippin" which ran from December 2012 to January 2013. Miller made her Broadway debut in the 2011 Broadway season as the gutsy nightclub-singer-turned-nun "Deloris Van Cartier" in the stage adaptation of "Sister Act", which earned her first Tony nomination, as well as Drama Desk, Drama League, and Outer Critics Circle Award nominations for her performance.
